Graveyard gas is an "evil-smelling gas given off by decaying coffins, if the soil above these coffins has not been tamped down properly. It is usually found at burial places.

If a pocket of graveyard gas comes into contact with a will-o'-the-wisp , the gas and light particles combine to form a Hobgoblin.
